“AMK Global Group is thrilled to announce a formal partnership with Restaurants Canada which will facilitate introductions between all Restaurant Canada members and our company in locating internationally sourced hospitality talent” -San Mahajan, Founder and CEO, AMK Global Group.
AMK Global Group has been working with various restaurants & hospitality chains in Canada since 2017. And it gives us immense pride to announce that we have partnered with the prestigious organization – Restaurants Canada – and will be assisting their members in full time hospitality staffing. In a formal partnership announced by the CEO’s of both the organizations i.e. Restaurants Canada a national trade organization and AMK Global Group a regulated Immigration & recruitment firm, this partnership will facilitate Canada’s food industry in solving its labour shortage problem.
Restaurants Canada is the voice of the Food Industry in Canada. It is a prominent national association representing the interests of the Canadian foodservice industry. With its rich history spanning several decades, the organization serves as a strong advocate for restaurants, bars, caterers, and other foodservice establishments across the country. Restaurants Canada plays a crucial role in supporting and advancing the industry by providing valuable resources, industry insights, and advocacy initiatives. It fosters collaboration among industry professionals, facilitates networking opportunities, and offers a platform for sharing best practices. Through its tireless efforts, Restaurants Canada contributes to the growth and success of Canada’s vibrant and diverse culinary landscape.
The most critical post-pandemic problem has been the restaurant staffing deficits, which have been made worse by high turnover rates and difficulty recruiting new hires. In addition, existing employees are suffering from an increased workload because of an employee shortage, which complicates an already challenging position.
Currently as per Restaurants Canada latest Restaurants Outlook Survey: Q4 2022 tackling the labour shortage crisis will be among the top priorities for foodservice operators in 2023, with 53 per cent of respondents looking to attract or hire new staff, and operators sharing that they have been forced to reduce operating hours to account for the lack of staff.
As a leading organization in labour solutions, AMK Global Group recognizes the challenges faced by the foodservice industry, particularly the ongoing labour shortage issues in Canada. By teaming up with Restaurants Canada, AMK Global Group is committed to providing comprehensive workforce solutions, bridging the gap between skilled workers and employers in the hospitality sector. With our extensive network, knowledge and professionalism, we aim to alleviate the labour shortage burden and support the growth and success of Canadian restaurants, bars, and other foodservice establishments. Together with Restaurants Canada, we are dedicated to finding innovative solutions that contribute to the overall development and prosperity of the industry, while ensuring a high standard of service for customers across Canada.
“Canada’s foodservice sector relies heavily on welcoming new Canadians, and even more so now with the labour shortage our industry has found itself in as we rebuild post-pandemic; however, we’ve heard from our members that the process of recruiting from outside of the country can be incredibly lengthy, costly and at times complicated,” said Christian Buhagiar, President and CEO, of Restaurants Canada.
“Given this feedback, it was important for us to bring forward a partnership that can support members in streamlining this process at an affordable rate to ensure our members can fill empty positions efficiently. We’re excited about working with AMK Global Group and know our sector will benefit greatly from the services they offer.”
